The AE Advantage

No black boxes. Parts you can buy anywhere, code you can read.

AE builds detention control systems on industry-standard hardware and software, then customizes them to the facility.

Design. Build. Integrate.

Our staff covers a project from concept to completion, so there is one party responsible for whether the system works.

01

Design

Detailed quotations, complete submittal packages and custom electrical drawings before anything is built.

02

Build

PLC panels assembled by our own electricians, pre-tested as a full system in our Columbus shop, then installed by our field crews.

03

Integrate

Our programmers tie doors, video, intercom and access into one screen, then train your staff and hand over as-builts.

Certified on the platforms we install

AE has been a registered Wonderware system integrator since 2011 and maintains current certifications in Wonderware InTouch HMI and Harding Instruments IP digital intercom systems. Allen-Bradley (Rockwell) and Emerson (GE) PLC platforms are our specialty.

Built and pre-tested in Columbus

Control systems are assembled and tested as a complete system at our Columbus facility before they go to site. Problems are found on our bench, so installation inside a secure facility is shorter and more predictable.

Non-proprietary by design

The AE detention control system uses Rockwell Allen-Bradley PLCs and AVEVA InTouch (Wonderware) software as its foundation. Every component is readily available from distributors around the country, so your facility is never dependent on a single vendor for parts or support.

Over 30 years with PLCs

AE's key technical personnel have been designing, building, programming and installing PLC controlled systems for more than 30 years, from transfer line retrofits for Honda Manufacturing to state prison locking control retrofits running more than 30 touch screens.
